Today's image is one where all the important information about the scene is communicated through silhouettes. Night photography offers interesting opportunities to explore this more simplified means of creating a scene.
This was taken six years ago during one of my many classes at the Maine Media Workshops. I've been teaching there every year (and sometimes twice a year) for the past eight years. I'm looking forward to returning in late August to teach my popular Creative Digital Darkroom workshop. It'll be a great week of photography along the beautiful mid-coast Maine region, combined with lots of exploration and learning in the digital lab as we dive deep in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop in search of ways to improve, enhance and transform our photographs. We'll even explore some mobile digital darkroom techniques that you can use on your camera phone! If you want to take both your photography and digital processing skills to the next level, come join us in Rockport!
